The first studio release from Chapman Stick and acoustic guitar duo Tom Griesgraber and Bert Lams, Unnamed Lands is the culmination of over four years of work and is one of the most inspired projects either musician has ever been a part of. Fourteen original instrumental tracks work together as a whole to tell the story of a group of wagon train pioneers heading west circa 1840. A lavish 12-page booklet features original stories presented as "diary entries," along with fantastic original artwork by Jack and Laurent Duriex to further immerse the listener in the experience. Mixed by Howard Givens (Agent 22, California Guitar Trio) with Tom Griesgraber and mastered by Steve Hall (George Harrison, Fleetwood Mac), this artistically crafted album presents a musical style both new and familiar. A strong progressive rock influence with odd meters and adventerous sounds blends seamlessly with a highly melodic, folk-like approach into what could almost be described as "Progressive Americana."

Emmett Chapman, inventor of The Stick

"Spectacularly produced... as a duo, these two virtuoso instrumentalists have a chemistry that can't be faked in the studio, but comes only through extensive touring and rehearsing."
